Reunion 2021

“After a 2 year delay due to Covid , Sunday the 21 St November saw the WA Old & Bolds gather for our Annual RAAMC Reunion BBQ. There was some apprehension due to the time delay and our going for a new venue as to what our numbers would be ?

As security issues in getting access to Barracks were becoming more difficult, combined with an invitation from the City of Cockburn RSL, we took the chance. This proved an outstanding success with 84 attendees and many apologies showing that the WA Old & Bolds were missing our gatherings very much. The committee of Alan, Diane, Dee and Peter ably led by David Clements are to be congratulated on the success. We would also again thank our Chefs Peter and Gary for the great lunch, and also Kay Cleak from the RSL who gave her valuable support behind the Bar.

With the welcoming of our RAADC and RAANC colleagues and formalized with an appropriate Cake kindly initiated/donated by Di Wright, we now call ourselves the Health Services Old & Bolds WA . Our guest speaker on the day was Major Jan Honter who gave an interesting update on the rotating wheel of the direction of the Corps development and was much appreciated. Homage was paid to some of our  departed members .

The day was an outstanding success with multiple Raffle prizes supplementing the cost of the day. With that success we are advanced enough that 2022 will see us return to the Cockburn RSL on Sunday 13th November 22 and would be happy to host any Interstate Visitors that may be around ”
