LAYHE John MAJ. 1st Field Ambulance

LAYHE John Brian Late of Woonona and Terrigal
17/08/1939 to 07/05/2021

Adored father of Andrew, Donna, Kylie and Stacey Cherished father-in law to Kate, Brian and Antoine Loved grandfather and great-grandfather.

Forever in our hearts Family and friends are invited to attend his life celebration to be held at the Rose Chapel of the Palmdale Memorial Park Friday 21st May, 2021 commencing at 11am.

For any member who may not have received my notice, I sadly advise the passing of our long-time member, Marie Doyle. Marie passed away last Sunday (22nd) in hospital with family by her side. She had been very ill leading up to her death. Marie's funeral will be held this coming Thursday (26th) at "Our Lady of Carmel" Catholic Church, 230 Humphries Road, Mount Pritchard at 10am.

I unfortunately will be unable to attend but if any member is able to be present, please make yourself known to her husband, Brian and pass on our Association's sincere condolences. I think Marie was a past CO of 5 Field Ambulance and was the OC when 5 Fd Amb became part of the newly formed 5 BASB Health Company and oversaw the move from Carlow Street Chatswood to Hill Street at Botany in the late 1990's. The unit has again been re-named 5 CSSB Health Company and now located at Holsworthy.

Marie was also actively involved with St John's Ambulance for many many years and was recognised for her work when awarded the "Order of St John". Farewell Marie, a great many friends will grieve your passing.

Alan Curry.

On behalf of the members of the RAAMC Association Inc, that we send a Hearty Congratulations to the new Surgeon General Australian Defence Force Reserve (SGADFR) MAJ GEN Charles New OAM. Well Done Sir.

Brian Hogan our Honorary Chaplain has passed away.

Brian passed away suddenly on Saturday evening 30 Sep 17, Brian was a longtime member of 5 Fd Amb Association prior to joining the NSW Branch of the RAAMC Association then the Victorian Branch where he also officiated as their Honorary Chaplain.

To those members who didn't know Brian he  was a member of the RAAMC Association he resided in Victoria and would always travel to attend functions held by 5 Fd Amb and the NSW Branch of the associations. It is my understanding that he also attend functions with the Victorian Branch as well.
