MARIE DOYLE
For any member who may not have received my notice, I sadly advise the passing of our long-time member, Marie Doyle. Marie passed away last Sunday (22nd) in hospital with family by her side. She had been very ill leading up to her death. Marie's funeral will be held this coming Thursday (26th) at "Our Lady of Carmel" Catholic Church, 230 Humphries Road, Mount Pritchard at 10am.
I unfortunately will be unable to attend but if any member is able to be present, please make yourself known to her husband, Brian and pass on our Association's sincere condolences. I think Marie was a past CO of 5 Field Ambulance and was the OC when 5 Fd Amb became part of the newly formed 5 BASB Health Company and oversaw the move from Carlow Street Chatswood to Hill Street at Botany in the late 1990's. The unit has again been re-named 5 CSSB Health Company and now located at Holsworthy.
Marie was also actively involved with St John's Ambulance for many many years and was recognised for her work when awarded the "Order of St John". Farewell Marie, a great many friends will grieve your passing.
Alan Curry.
