About Us

Army Banner

This is not an association which is rank orientated and irrespective of what rank you hold or have held, you are welcome.

The  RAAMC AND HEALTH SERVICE CORPS ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED acts as a conduit to the RAAMC Committee for individuals and RAAMC Unit Associations.

The RAAMC AND HEALTH SERVICE CORPS ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED encourages all members, especially those who have served in modern conflicts and operations to join the Association in its activities, especially on ANZAC Day.

The Association is fundamentally an Association for members and former members of the RAAMC, however, notwithstanding, it recognises that RAAMC Unit Associations have members from other Corps who were or are posted to the strength of a Unit. The RAAMC Association welcomes those members and encourages them to participate in RAAMC Association activities

The RAAMC AND HEALTH SERVICE CORPS ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED is not an official part of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps, however it is closely connected through serving members, both full-time and reserve, and the RAAMC service and veteran associations. Its role is to act as a conduit between these associations and the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps Committee and to provide support, guidance and advice. Its constitution forbids it to poach members from other associations. Serving and former RAAMC members who are members of any RAAMC association such as 1st Australian Field Hospital Association and 5th Field Ambulance Association are automatically members of the RAAMC and Health Service Corps Assn Inc. if they are in good standing with their respective association and submit the required application form. Non RAAMC serving and former members belonging to these associations who are members of other Corps, such as RAANC or RAASC, may apply as Special Members. Members of the RAAMC who do not belong to any association may also be members. Membership is free, however tax-deductible donations to the RAAMC Corps Committee is encouraged at any time.

The RAAMC AND HEALTH SERVICE CORPS ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED website is privately funded and, as such, reserves the right to publish articles it sees fit and which are in the interest of its members and the RAAMC and Health Service Corps. Unlike official defence websites, which are obligated under Defence Instructions to only maintain a "hot link" to the Defence Minister’s site, the association. maintains a healthy balance and links its site to both the Minister and the Shadow Minister to ensure that the passage of relevant information is passed on to its members and is seen as being an apolitical organisation. Click here to view the RAAMC AND HEALTH SERVICE CORPS ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED Constitution.
